Nous avons passé un séjour agréable dans cette belle maison avec notre famille et nos amis. Les volumes spacieux ont été très appréciés, offrant à chacun suffisamment d'espace pour se détendre et se divertir. La maison elle-même est très bien conçue, offrant un cadre charmant pour notre séjour. Cependant, quelques ajustements seraient nécessaires pour rendre le séjour parfait.

Positive: It was on the quiet side of Moorea away from the Tourist areas but you would need a rental car to access supermarkets and beaches. Lovely roomy house with three bedrooms and all of the facilities. Negative: Villa Maramatea was a little hard to find down a right of way, even a neighbour did not know where it was when we asked her. It was after turning South that we saw Villa Maramatea on a sign post that we found it.

Des chambres et un espace cuisine superbes ! La piscine et le billard sont un plus ! Même pour une famille de 8 personnes dont 2 enfants, il y a de l'espace pour tout le monde et différentes zones pour profiter du confort et du calme. Une villa dans un quartier calme avec un voisinage aimable et rassurant ! J'y retournerai les yeux fermés !

The host is unresponsive, home was filthy when we arrived (live and dead bugs throughout, dirty kitchen, residue on dishes and utensils, basic amenities missing) and did not match the photos that are posted online. We were very uncomfortable during our stay and it almost ruined our vacation. The host said they would send someone to clean the following day but no one showed up, when they did come (2 days later) the home was lightly cleaned but we were told they can’t treat for bugs. Because of this we decided to leave. If you stay here, be aware that the host expects you to be ok with living and sleeping with ants and spiders that will be in and around your bed, in the showers, bathroom sinks and kitchen. We were unable to use one of the rooms bc of the infestation so close to the bed. Also, the problem increases at night, swarms of bugs appear in the areas mentioned above. I understand this is a tropical location but the home is marketed as luxury and the conditions are far from it.

After booking the place, Maya asked if she will be on time for her early flight back to the US. We informed her that she wouldn't be on time at the airport so she changed her dates for a first time. Then 2 days before her arrival, Maya asked to change her dates again. We accepted the change for free as she added one day to her reservation. And finally she decided to leave the house one day before the normal date because she didn’t like the place and complained about a few things: Maya complained about ants in the house. We sent our cleaning lady twice to fix the problem but Maya was still unhappy. We never received the pictures we asked to see the problem. But we found some food outside that may have caused the problem. We finally received a picture from Airbnb customer service showing a few ants on the wall. We have also a few points to complain about on our side as she did not respect our conditions: We had no communication with Maya when she started to complain. She said we did not answer to her email, we have all communication available for anyone who is interested to read it. Air conditioning was ON all day long while we always inform our customers about the super high cost of electricity in French Polynesia. Usually, our customer understand and use AC only when necessary. The main door remained unlocked while they go out of the house. Maya wasn’t in the house for the checkout and she let a real mess (we know she is not supposed to clean everything but we expect a minimum of good manners from our customers). She kept the key so our cleaning lady couldn’t work on the day of departure. We are sorry Maya did not like the place she rented but we cannot accept this kind of behavior from a customer, especially when we do our best to help. This house is a beautiful and clean place, not a jungle infested by bugs and lizards… We had an average note of 4.8/5 from 8 customers before her stay and we are confident in the quality of our service and in the places we rent.

Nous étions 3 couples et c'était un bon rapport qualité/prix? certainement besoin de votre propre moyen de transport. Nous y avons préparé le dîner et avons vraiment apprécié la table de billard ! Apportez votre répulsif mozzie cependant. Les hôtes étaient adorables et l'enregistrement et le départ ont été très faciles! Merci!

Nous avons séjourné avec des amis et nos enfants pendant 4 jours dans la villa. Accueil très sympa, réactivité en cas de besoin... La villa correspondait bien à l'annonce, il n'y a pas eu de surprise à ce niveau. Heureusement qu'il y avait des jeux de sociétés, la télévision et le billard car nous avons eu de la pluie tout le séjour donc on a pu s'occuper autrement.

This property ticked all the boxes for a family of three Anglophiles, plus a friend and her 11 year old daughter, during the school holidays; great, central, location, in easy driving distance to watersports and other activities on Moorea; with speedy wifi service (and Netflix, which allowed for English language options!), a fantastic swimming pool, and the billiard/pool table and collection of board games and puzzles … all of which really sealed the deal with our teenager and our friend’s tween. Timely, and helpful, communication with Sylvana as the property agency’s rep was also really appreciated. We’d definitively recommend this as a place to stay for others … and we wish we’d spent more time here, than at more expensive hotels like the Intercontinental back on Papeete. 🤦♂️

Overall the place is spacious and clean, but our group of 3 felt that there are likely better places to stay on Moorea. The pros: quiet, beautiful home with lots of space. The cons: The beach access is very sketchy and is an inlet of shallow mud, so don't expect to wade or swim. We felt the host (rental agency) could improve their communications by confirming details, responding quicker, etc. We felt for the price, there should be a higher caliber of service. For example they offer 1 roll of toilet paper for our 5 night stay and choose not to have an extra supply, so we ran out on a holiday when all stores are closed. Also we weren't warned we needed to close the gate and so the neigbor's dogs ate our shoes and snorkeling gear. We managed to make it a great stay, but honestly spent most of our time out of the house on other parts of the island.
